Some cool guys from my last day in Vail a few weeks ago…
First up is Damian - he was out and about on my last night in Vail. I always manage to meet fun people, including him! He caught my eye with his cool beanie & Burton sweatshirt. He is regular foot, and rides a 157 Burton x8, mostly in the parks. He has been riding 9 seasons. Cheers Damian, I hope your Super Bowl party was fun, thanks for the invite!

Then there’s Bill - we met him coming back from Blue Sky Basin on one of the chair lifts as we made our way back towards Lionshead. Anyone knows I am a sucker for a full beard on a guy… so naturally I struck up a convo. Bill was on skis and he said he has been skiing his “entire life…” He works in the Patagonia store in Lionshead Village, so stop by and say hello to him! It was nice meeting you Bill!

In my last trip to Mammoth of this season, (which I will write up soon,) at long last I finally met some hotties on the hill! Meet Corey & Scott, from Orange County. We shared a gondola ride up to Cornice with them on Sunday. Scott was wearing a helmet cam that of course I used as my “in” for the conversation starter. ;-) He was shooting his friends with it, stating “yeah I use it to capture the really good falls.” Let’s hear it for friendship!
Their favorite mountain is Mammoth (fellow season pass holders), & they both ride regular foot. We parted ways when we got to the top, they went left to hit Dave’s Run and we stuck to good ol’ Cornice, which was great this weekend. Anyways, nice meeting you guys!

We spent so much of our time riding while on the hill that I am ashamed to admit we didn’t meet any new hotties on the hill when we were on the mountain. However, unsurprisingly, we did find some cuties when we ventured out for dinner or drinks each night. Here are a handful of the folks we met whose full info I did not get but are certainly worthy of our hotties label!

Leila and me with an honest-to-god bullriding cowboy from Texas

Jay from Minnesota

Elvis is NOT dead - he’s living in JHole riding skis with his own picture on them

me and Andrey from Russia
and… my personal favorite…

SASQUATCH!!!

I will recap our Mammoth trip this weekend soon (recovering from slight bug I picked up) but wanted to make a quick post of our first Mammoth Hottie this year. This is Steve - we met him on the gondola up to the top on Saturday.

He was a really good sport when I broke the ice in the gondola by saying I wanted to take a picture of him for my blog. He was probably like, get away you internet stalking freak! But then I explained about this site and I guess I convinced him I’m not a weirdo because he let me take his picture with Stacy.
Super cool guy, lives in Malibu and comes to Mammoth almost every weekend. He was riding a giant 168 Burton Canyon. He rides regular and has been riding for over 14 years! Steve told us his wife has now gotten into riding in the past two years, good that he has convinced her to share one of his passions.
Nice meeting you Steve, if you use that card I gave you to come check out this site, be sure to stop in and say hi!

Now it wouldn’t be a trip to the mountains without the Snowboard-Women.com crew meeting some hotties! This is Graham - he actually wasn’t on the hill but was a bartender at the funnest bar in Park City, the No Name Saloon.

He both skis and boards, and rides goofy when he does snowboard. He is from Decatur, IL and has been living in PC for 3 years now. Super nice guy and fun to talk to. And he doens’t even get mad when you take pictures of the fake alcohol (it being Utah, land of teetotalers) with big orange stickers that said “Flavoring!”

Cheers Graham… thanks for being our first 08-09 season Hottie on the Hill and for those tasty beverages you served us. ;-) What do you think of Graham?

We met these guys at Whiskey Creek during the amazing Happy Hour there. (ps- go there from 4pm-5:30pm, you will not be sorry - half price on all their great food!)

Group of really cool guys from San Diego, celebrating a “guys weekend” on the hill. From left - Darren, Jeff, (Jessie in the middle), Kevin, and Ryan.
If I remember correctly, Darren and Ryan ski, and Jeff and Kevin snowboard. Way fun meeting you guys!
